Admissions
September 2027
Applications for a Reception place at Walmsley CE Primary School should be made online via Bolton Council’s Citizen Portal.
The closing date for applications is 15 January 2027. Parents will be informed of the outcome of their application on 16 April 2027, or the next working day.
Walmsley CE Primary School has a Published Admission Number of 30 for Reception.
If you wish to apply for priority admission on the basis of church attendance, you will also need to complete a Supplementary Information Form (SIF). This must be completed and verified by a member of the clergy or other designated church officer, then returned to the school by 15 January 2027.

If you are applying for a place during the school year, applications should be made directly with Bolton Council through the Citizen Portal. Parents are also welcome to contact the school if they would like further information about Walmsley or wish to arrange a visit.
